MECO recently provided Kannapolis Sprinkler a pre-fab fire pump skid for the MGP Distribution Center in Graham, NC. This was a total team effort in working with Kannapolis Sprinkler and Whiting-Turner to develop the proper layout and installation to accomplish their fire protection needs.

At the heart of the pump house is Aurora’s largest UL listed fire pump model. The model 10-491-20 is rated for 5,000 GPM @ 154 PSI. The pump is driven by an 801 HP Cummins engine. Due to the size of the pump, the customer wisely chose to have the main relief and flow meter discharge piped back to the suction tank. All the associated 16” and 14” piping and valves were installed by MECO at our facility prior to shipment.
